Starting May 5th through June 13th, listen each weekday during the 8 a.m., 12 p.m., and 4 p.m. hours for the Getaway Giveaway contest keyword(s).

One keyword will be given each day, Monday through Friday, announced during the hours of 8 a.m., 12 p.m., and 4 p.m.

There will be no keyword announced on Memorial Day, 5/26/25.

Once you hear the keyword(s), go to pureoldies1013.com to the Getaway Giveaway contest page. Complete the registration, including the correct contest keyword(s), for the chance to win a trip valued at $1,400-$2,000 (depending on location chosen) for two to either Daytona Beach, FL; San Diego, CA; Memphis, TN; Los Angeles, CA; or Dallas, TX. (Airfare and hotel accommodations are included. Incidentals, tips, travel, local/resort taxes not included).  At the end of the contest, one runner-up will win two (2) Shen Valley Golf Cards that are each eligible for one 18-hole round of golf at five courses (total of five 18-hole rounds of golf, one at each course), valued at $600 total.  Prize is not transferrable and not redeemable for cash. Winners are responsible for all applicable local, state and federal taxes.

Listeners will have until the end of the day (11:59pm) to enter the keyword before it expires. There will be a maximum entry of one time per day. There will be a possibility of 30 entries during the duration of the contest.

One winner will be randomly chosen from all eligible entrants on the following Monday following each week’s play to win our weekly prize and notified by phone and/or email. Each weekly winner will be awarded one Massanutten Combo Pass eligible for waterpark admission, golf green fee, or mountain bike trail access and a $50 restaurant gift certificate for either Tropical Smoothie Café, Southern Kitchen, Tequila Modern Mexican, El Charro, or Bojangles, and will then qualify for the chance to win the grand prize.  Weekly qualifying prize ARV: $120.  There will be 6 weekly winners, one per week, for a total of $720 worth of weekly prizes given away. There will be one runner-up winner chosen at the end of the contest who will win two Shen Valley Golf Cards, valid for one 18-hole round of golf with cart at each participating course.  This winner will be chosen by June 16th, 2025 by random drawing on Audience.  We will make reasonable efforts to award Prizes within 30 days after winning. The winner will be notified by phone when the prize is ready for pick up at the station and the grand prize winner will be notified and referred to Sun & Fun Media for grand vacation prize planning and logistics.  The winner will need to contact Sun& Fun Media within 10 business days of receiving the travel award to schedule travel.

WQPO-HD2 will conduct this contest concurrently and simultaneously with other affiliated radio stations at Harrisonburg Media Group. Listeners of WQPO-HD2 will, therefore, be competing with listeners of other radio stations to win the same prize. No purchase necessary. In the case of any query or discrepancy, the winner will ultimately be decided at the sole discretion of Saga Communications, Inc.

Employees of WQPO-HD2, Harrisonburg Media Group, Tidewater Communications LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a 100-mile radius of the WQPO-HD2 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

This WQPO-HD2 contest is open to all eligible Central Virginia residents 18 or older who have not won anything from WQPO-HD2 or any other Harrisonburg Media Group station in the past 30 days, or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past six months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. All winners are responsible for any applicable State, Local, Federal Taxes.

One entry per person, per keyword, per day, for a total of 30 possible entries into the contest. Submitting more than the allowed entries will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries, and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and they must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

We will make reasonable efforts to award prizes within 30 days after winning. Winners will be notified by phone when the prize is ready for pick up at the station. Grand prize winner and runner-up winner will be notified by phone by Monday June 16, 2025.
