HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – A lot of Virginians have voted early in this fall’s general election. However, a lot of campaign news has come out since early voting began, which may make people think about changing their minds after they cast their early ballot.

Harrisonburg Voter Registrar Mark Finks said on Early Mornings yesterday that he has not heard anyone inquire about changing a vote once its cast but explained that they could not even if they want to.  Finks says “In Virginia code, no, unfortunately, there wouldn’t be any way to change your vote or vote again. Once you’ve voted that vote is secured and logged for that election, and you would be able to vote again until the next upcoming election. So there is no mechanism to change one’s vote once cast.”

A reminder that early voting ends this Saturday, and the general election is next Tuesday.
