• A kill from Wilson pulled the Phoenix within two, but EMU finished out the set, taking advantage of two WC service errors, an ace from Emerson Moats and a kill from Kassidy Meadows.

Set Two: EMU 25, Wilson 9
• Set two started out more closely than set one, with Wilson taking a slight 3-2 lead early on. The Royals responded with an 8-0 run, pulling ahead 10-3, with three kills from Parker and one each from Mckenzie Taylor and Rogers.

Wilson would pick up a kill to stop the Royals run, but EMU would finish out the set, winning the final three points on two Phoenix errors and an Ella Lambert service ace.

Set Three: Wilson 25, EMU 22
• After Wilson College jumped out to a 6-2 lead to start the third, EMU rallied with a 12-1 tilt, taking a 14-7 advantage.
• EMU would keep the seven-point lead lead all the way to 19-12, but Wilson was determined to play another set, as they reeled off seven straight points to tie things at 19 apiece.
• A kill from Meadows, a Phoenix error and a block from Rogers and Sophie Dollyhigh, gave EMU a two-point lead, 22-20. But Wilson College forced a fourth frame, finishing set three with a 5-0 run for the win.

Set Four: EMU 25, Wilson 16

• Wilson retook the lead with four straight of their own before EMU said, in the words of the great Lee Corso, “Not so fast my friend!” The Royals picked up their second 11-0 run of the night, this time off four kills from Logan Turchetta, two kills from Rogers and two aces from Jones, to move to match point, 24-15.
